My truck is having intermitted issues. The issues are lack of power blowing dark smoke and sometimes dying. I noticed on a long trip when the temp fell below 45 degrees she would die. By midday when it heats up she runs like a champ. Now yesterday @ 114 degrees she did it again. I have noticed little things like the radio blinking off, the climate control not coming on when starting or reading the wrong temp.
I also have been having another problem the truck is losing its prime at night if I park in the driveway (its uphill towards the house) I have to back in. I was thinking the fuel pressure regulator.
First thing I would advise you to do is get the truck scanned for codes and find a way to check your fuel pressure. Also, some specifics about your truck would be very helpful. Year model, mileage, oil change intervals, oil and filter type are a good place to start.
Have the battries/alt tested all the isuses have could be traced back there.the truck hard starting in the morning could be there isn't enough juice in them to make the FICM happy.
i just finished replacing the alternator. i was only charging to 12v. So when both ac's on not enough juice for the injectors. i will see how it goes from here. i keep you guys informed
