I've got an issue with my 2011 6.7 SD truck. Its not much, I'll wait to take it in but here's my issue. The cruise control is only working some of the time. I went to use it last weekend on highway 74 going into Hemet because they changed the speed limit from 55 to 45 and there are cops everywhere. I went to set the cruise on 45 and nothing happened. On the way home it worked. So I played with it all week and sometimes it worked and some times it didn't work. I will probably wait until next service to have it checked out as I do really use it that much. Anybody else having issues?
I've only seen this issue once. It is typical for "hiccups" like this to be reset with a reboot on the system. The way I noticed mine is I could turn on the cruise, with the orange indicator on the dash, then when I hit the set button the indicator went green but it did not hold the speed. I use cruise day in and day out and have only noticed it act up once.
The other "issue" I have noticed is my nav screen goes black when I turn on the truck. A quick shut down/reboot takes care of it too.
I have a similar annoyance with my steering wheel control for radio volume. It works normally for days at a time and then just stops increasing the volume. It will always decrease the volume. It also always returns to normal after a shutdown/restart.
This may be un related but I will pass it on. It took me a while to get a feel for the buttons on the steering wheel. Seems like they need to be pressed harder than one would like, a lot of times it takes me 2 or 3 mashes on a button to get it to work.
When I first got the truck, I almost thought "boy, this won't last long" thinking that the buttons were defective and were not going to last.

My brother's truck does the exact same thing. The only time I have experienced steering wheel control issues has been when using the Lockpick and even then it is very rare. It is not a common complaint that I have heard from many people. My brother has not taken his to the dealer so we haven't gotten any feedback from a dealer.

I have had this as well. I stop the truck, turn it off and re start and all is fine. Weird.
1) Reverse Parking sensors stay on and give a steady tone when backing up. Only happens after a strong rain.
2) Erratic shifting. Especially the 2 - 3 shift where the engine revs almost like the tranny is slipping or is in neutral. Then it kicks into gear and keeps going. And Saturday night while driving down the interstate at 70 MPH, there was a loud clunk. I'm almost positive it came from the transmission because I felt it like the other issue and I know I didn't run over anything. There was a slight rev and then the clunk. After that, it seemed fine.
It's at the dealership this morning getting checked out.
John how many miles are on yours? I've had some weird shifting also (don't have the flash yet... need to get that) but I can usually drive "around" it. I haven't had any clunking. If I move the gas petal right around the time it is going to shift I can usually get the transmission to shift a bit "hard" or with a "slip" or "flair". If I am firm on the petal or press slow and steady I don't get much of that. 7200 miles on mine, 20" wheels, 3.55's.

I have the exact same situation! A quirk that should not be there.

Steve mine's at 1552 miles right now. I was attributing part of mine to the Adaptive Strategy and that still may be it. They checked it today and unfortunately I wasn't there when they did it. The SA told me they checked it for codes and didn't find anything. I asked him if they had checked to make sure that the latest flash had been done and he said he was sure they did. I got ticked off because he started trying to tell my about how to drive my "Torqshift 5-speed" and how it needed to learn how I drive. I stopped him and told him if he didn't even know what kind of transmission was in the truck, I didn't need his input.
As for the reverse sensors, he tried to explain that if I've never had a vehicle with this feature it can be confusing. I blew my lid, stopped him in mid-sentence, and told him I needed to speak to a grownup. Moron. This is my fifth vehicle with the reverse sensors so I've got a tiny little idea about how they function.
Sorry....rant over.
Anyhow, I'm definitely having issues with the truck revving between 2nd and 3rd gears. I also had it happen (coincidentally just after leaving the dealership) on my way home. I've got to call my friend that owns the dealership this week anyway so hopefully I can get it resolved.
