Here's some more for you. I could give you the build month, but that book is out in the garage and it's too late to be going out there. Sorry! Anyway, F10 = F100, two wheel drive pick-up. C = 292 CI, 2 bbl V8 engine. L = built at Michigan Truck Plant. WB 128 is your wheelbase in inches. Color A = Raven Black as 5star mentioned. Model F101 = 2 wheel drive, 4200 GVW. E = your interior trim code: red crush vinyl and red check stripe woven plastic. 81 = 81B Custom Cab. As 5star said, Trans A = Ford 3 speed manual transmission, and Axle 12 = Ford non-limited slip 3.89 axle. Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight = 4200 pounds. NET vehicle horsepower = 135 at 3800 rpms. The District Sales Office to which this vehicle was assigned (21) was Atlanta and it was not special ordered.

The series code F10 does not decode to a pickup until 1973.
Prior to 1973, an F10 could be a Pickup, or a Cab & Chassis, or w/a factory installed Flatbed or Stake Bed. Or one of two Open Drive-Away's: Chassis & Windshield or Chassis & Cowl.
No F100/350 series code prior to 1973 decodes to what "back of cab" equipment a truck came with.
553635 = 1964, assembled June 1964.
Trans A = Ford type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.

It's interesting to know that the paint is the original color, but the interior is clearly not (black diamond vinyl now)
The tranny is stuck in gear now, so now time to tear it apart.
