Welcome to FTE...heres the decode...
F10= F series 1/2 ton 2WD truck
Y= 352 V8 engine, 2bbl carb
N= Norfolk, Va assy plant
802261= Early Jan 1966 build date, 1966 model year truck(Jan run began with 802,000)
115= wheelbase in inches
AM= exterior color= Black(A) and Wimboldon White(M)
F100= truck model, 5000# GVW rating
D81= 81B= Custom Cab truck, D= Medium Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Cody Pattern Woven Plastic.
81= conventional cab truck
6= a large truck trans...if the truck has...or had originally an automatic, that would be a G code Given that 1966 plates have smaller type...look at the code again...it could be a C too if its a manual trans truck...B and A would be the only other possibilities for a trans code.
17= rear axle = 3:25 non locking gear set. 3.3M cap., Ford WDM-H-S is the specific rear end code specs regarding parts for it. Its a Ford 9"
5000= trucks GVW with load, people and fuel in pounds.
172 4000= engines cert net HP at RPM shown
24= DSO= where original selling dealer ordered it from, in this case thats Jacksonville, Fl.

No such TRANS code of 6 for F100's. It's either a C or a G.
C = Ford Type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.
G = MX Cruise-O-Matic.
17 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.25-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
172 net HP @ 4,000 RPM.
24 = Jacksonville FL Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

i want to thank yall very much and it has a auto trans in it and i was told it a large truck trans i know at 60 mph the motor it at a high rpm and according to rear end plate it has 350 gears tag # wdm-m 3 50 6 b 301 i just thought since its a large ruck trans the gears ratio is different from a medium truck trans

You were mis-informed, it is not a large truck trans.

TRANS code 6 is a Spicer 5 Speed Direct Manual Transmission only available in F750 and larger trucks.
The smallest large truck that was available with an A/T were F750's which came with Trans-Matic's.
There is no way your F100 has a Trans-Matic. You would have to cut a huge hole in the floor pan for its trans case to fit.
The Warranty Plate that the TRANS code is located on is prolly corroded, making the 6 appear as a G.
The axle ratio has been changed if it has 3.50's. The AXLE code for an F100 with a 9 inch with a 3.50-1 ratio is 08.
