From another thread: Do you have the part numbers for the '05 front bumper brackets?[/QUOTE]
robin which ones there are three per side the one on the end of the rail is 5c3z17b984aa and 985aa // the straight one is 5c3z17754aa and 7755aa //
the other one i bought but did not use when i put my bumper on. they go on the outside of the rail to the end you could use them but needed some fab i guess the frame is a little different i haven't used them yet and the 99 didn't have them . those are 5c3z17b750aa and 749aa .
mine wont go anywhere near that....like i said....about 8lbs max and thats with me sticking my finger in the ccv tube hole. when i remove my thumb you can hear the air release. same thing with the oil fill tube....remove cap and you can hear the air escaping.
i have flipped the oil cap over and it stays on and doesnt seem to have any excesive blowby.
what could be my issue?
anyone have any thoughts on this??? am i trying to make something out of nothing?
It makes no sense for air to be coming out thecrankcase. Unless the ccv is hooked up but you said it wasn't. Only other place would be by the rings and if that was happening your truck wouldn't run very good if at all. Do I have this right? You are pressuring up the intake and are getting air through the base.
correct...air going in thru the turbo inlet and i can hear air coming out of the ccv and oil fill tube. but the kicker is the truck doesnt seem to be running bad....25psi at WOT, no smoke (of any color) and get 16mpg around town. there is some noise that i hear under light acceleration that sounds like an exhuast leak...kind of a kachu kachu kachu sound that goes away when i let off the throttle....sometimes sounds like its exhaust leak sometimes sounds like injectors?
I checked the dip stick tonight and there were bubbles on the last inch of the tip. What are all the causes of aireation and which would be the most likely.
I've tested mine and it's all sealed up but, it takes quite a bit of air for ot to actually pressure up and it's not going to hold pressure. It will leak through the valves and eventually out the exaust. And just a word of advice, I wouldn't go above 15-20 lbs. If your tester slips out, it will be a rocket and possibly cause casualties! Yea ask me how I know!!
Ok ....how do you know.....
