I am prepping to do a full brake service on my SD. As part of that, I am going to flush the fluid and change the lines. There is a bunch of "gunk" in the master cylinder reservoir that will need to be cleaned out.
I was wondering if I can remove just the reservoir to clean it? It looks/feels like it's just held in by the O-rings in the cylinder itself, but I'm not sure.
I wouldn't risk it. Most likely the orings, or seals are custom and if you damage them in the process, you will have to buy whole new MC.
Use a suction device. I have oil extractor, but turkey blaster should work too.
