Check engine light...HELP
I have a '93 F-150 4.9L 5 speed with 88,500 miles on it. My smog pump locked up and the belt was screeching across the pulley. I changed the smog pump with one from Advance. About 3 minutes into the test drive the CHECK ENGINE light came on. It had never been on before. It is off everytime I start the truck but lights back up within a minute or two of driving. I double checked and all the hoses are reconnected.
Any idea what may have caused it to start coming on after I replaced the smog pump?
