PCM is probably the most correct acronym. It's "the computer".

I can't say if you'd have any problems with it or not.

Actually most of us call that the PCM, and depending on what code it is programmed with will determine whether or not it will work with your truck. They are not plug and play, especially considering you have a manual trans.

Since the ad says 2003 and you have a 99.5, no, that PCM will NOT work in your truck.

Dangit, I even meant to type "P" instead of "E". Edit incoming.

I have head of people upgrading but have no idea on the model years or calibration codes.

In your CL ad the PCM in the lower right with the Banks chip on it is what and where the chips install.

If you plan to get custom tunes don't waste your time on the 140V Idm Mod. Jody considers what type of IDM you have when doing custom tunes, as I am sure any good tuner does. The IDM mod very, very slightly advances the SOI (Start of Injection) timing. SOI timing is part of custom tuning. I'm still running my stock 110V IDM. If I even put in a 120V IDM I would want new tunes because it would effect the custom SOI timing I now have.
