I am sending my PCM in to Jody to be reflashed for a manual transmission. I think I'm going to go ahead and get a mild econo burn put on as well.
Some of the current specs on my PCM are as follows: Code-NAW4, Model DPC-202, Application-7.3L F-250/350 & ECONOLINE DIESEL - AUTOMATIC, Module Application-49S/ALT/CAN.
Now I don't really know what much of that means but I imagine it matters when reburning. Is there a more desirable manual trans PCM code I can request Jody to apply or should I just tell him what I'm wanting and leave it to him? I have a call into him but not sure when I'll hear back.
So i forgot to ask you. Why does my truck lope on start up and yours doesnt..?
Beats me dude. I've no clue. Mine runs pretty good but hopefully better soon. My DP will be here this week and hopefully my PCM and I've got to mod my IDM while that's out too. Do you know your PCM code off hand?
I'm always a little slow.. I thought the dealer had to re flash the PCM? They want $105.00 but the dealers were splint a while back and told me I would/would not need to "reprogram" my truck when I changed out a fried stock IDM in my '96. Needless to say, I don't trust any of them.
