Just started putting my guages in today, (trany, boost, pyro).
I just installed the trans temp sender into the port on the transmission but my question is how do the wires hook up? I have auto meter z-series guages. The guage has three terminals on the back an the kit came with a two wire coil.
So I assume one wire goes from sender to guage, but which terminal does it hook to an where does the other wire go? Ignition? Ground?
I have Ultralites and the three terminal poles were marked on the back of the gauge with an "S" for sender, "I" for ignition (hot key on) and "G" for ground. They were stamped into the metal backing of the gauge.
Yeah I see that part. I guess Im more confused than I thought.
So do I need to make my own lead for the guage? Just one wire from sender to the sender terminal on the guage? Then one for Ignition and Ground?...........I guess that would make the most sense.
Forgive my ignorance I just want to be sure. Kinda thought that they would have come with better instructions! lol
Awesome! Thanks for the link man thats exactly what I needed! Now with a fresh start tomarow I should have it done in now time! hopefully I dont fun into anymore trouble!

kenny did you buy them new in the box? they should have a harness with a conn already on it with the sender and good instructions like these this is a fuel pressure gauge.
chris every one i put in have the same kit as the pic lpop / hpop / volts / boost /ect... ive never seen any different i thought maybe it was a lower price line but they don't look cheap. im stumped it says in there description that it comes with harness or tubing.
Hmmm. My memory isn't the best. Which Autometer model line do you have Wes? The Ultralites and Z-Series don't have the plug like your picture so I wonder if that is the difference.
chris they are gs series that i just put in this last time . but ive put in pro comps for many years and they had harnesses to i went with the gs for the green led.
