As the title states; I was wondering if in the history of the E4OD that perhaps someone has undertaken the modification to make the transmission able to upshift and downshift manually without a clutch like the Porsche's 'Tiptronic' auto trannys seen in many cars today.
I've heard of this mod being done to other transmissions in various cars with some slight mods to the tranny itself, but has anyone ever done it with an E4OD? Just curious!
You can shift the E4OD manualy once you know how the shift solenoids are controlled. I have been looking into this but will test it out on a gm 4l80 before I messup a good Ford tranny.
