4R100 Tranny
Hey guys, the truck I'm thinking of buying is a 1997 F250HD, 2WD with a 351 engine. The owner says the truck transmission went bad and he had a new factory reconditioned (if there is such a thing) tranny installed about 4000 miles ago. I asked if it was the E4OD transmission and he said no that it was a 4R100 tranny. In looking over the transmission spotters guide, I do not see a listing for that transmission in that year model truck. Interested in hearing what you experts have to say.
