can i make this filter work?
i was think instead of buying a fass system etc can i plumb my own piping off tank to a filter set up then to the fuel pump or is this just a dumb idea? is there to much pressure before the fuel pump? thanks

Before the pump there is actually negative pressure. And most of us who have done the intank mods have done what you are talking about. Try a search on intank mods and it may give you some insight on what I'm referring to!

i didnt really see anything but the pickup screens i wanted to tap into e line with a filter and mount to frame just wondern how i can go aboutdoing it

If your going to put that extra filter in, might as well do the tank mods, it will be very good insurance down the road. Just make sure the tank is almost empty and have some cans handy to sifon out the rest of the tank when its off the truck. Just did mine a few weeks ago, 2 guys helps the proccess immensly, its a wrestling match getting the tank back in, even empty.

the screens are gone when you get done, the return line dumps the fuel away from the pickup umbrella, and the crappy line connections that leak air are gone. You go from feeding your engine the equivelant of shook up beer foam to nice clear pure diesel, and you never worry about the screens clogging, you just change the filter between tank and fuel pump in 2 minutes versus dropping the tank
