Best replacment alternator ?
The F350 I just bought has an alternator that looks new & has a big white sticker on it that says "remanufactured" but it has issues and I am going to replace it , along with the mismatched batteries . I ordered a reman. NAPA unit that is factory tested with a spec. sticker , and a store tested sticker also , I am now wondering if its a good choice [never had an issue with a NAPA alt on a gas vehicle].But, I see the quality of the alternator is important from some of posts I have read , would I be better off with a Ford dealer alt. ? I don't want to screw up the new FICM etc.
