i have a 1983 Bronco with a 351M. i just got a Bronco graveyard catalog in the mail and i was a set of headers that caught my eye. i was woundering if thay would bolt right up or would i have to take any additonal steps with instalation or what. thanks
Nothing too bad. You'll have to fab up a y-pipe. Also its really hard and usually not worth it to run duals. A good mandrel bent 3" exhaust is all you need on these motors.
i was also woundering if it would be worth the time and trouble to buy a catalityc convertor or not? i heard some things about cherry bomb muffelers being illegal if you didnt have one. im not really wanting to spend that money on something i may not need. thanks man
If they're full-length, I'd suggest looking for somebody with install pics first. The full-length Hedman 89210 for the '78-'79 are a ******* to run. You have to remove the starter, dipstick tube and front driveshaft to install them - and then custom bend the dipstick tube to reinstall - and then the headers exit RIGHT AT the front crossmember.
