Glad to hear they were visibly able to see an issue with the pan itself this time around (as it sounds like they were playing pin the tail on the donkey with your trans!).

Hopefully they get you back on the road soon!

This afternoons update

I went byt he dealership twice today for two surprise check ups.
This afternoon when I got there he was finishing up with the truck. He told me he is still not sure. The pan looked exactly like the old pan. The gasket looked like it may have a little damage and I thought I saw a short spot on it today. He said the pan was 100% what the old one was. He just didnt know. So he took it for a run. I told him to run it 80mph and go atleast ten miles down the highway and ten miles back. He got back and it was all clean and dry. Ford and the dealer wanted it to sit overnight. Tomorrow the service manager and the shop foreman wants to drive it and let it set.
The dealer and Ford Corporate said they cannot afford to let this truck go and it be wrong. It doesnt matter anyways. They are out of time and about to hit lemon law. Either lemon law needs to end it or Ford Corporate needs to end it.
Ford Corporate did call me today and has made a very generous offer to me. Very fair so I am going to back off of this 20 day deal unless this deal goes real bad and this doesnt work.
I was with them all and they pulled the truck in the back and closed it up. Its sitting up there tonight and tomorrow they are going to drive it and let it set a few times tomorrow. They are going to make sure and deliver it tomorrow after lunch.
FYI my dealer is great and very nice. I am very lucky they are helping and trying to get this right.
Tune in tomorrow again folks for another episode of...."As the Oil Drips"

Here is a pic of the truck before it went back to the shop last week. Just letting everyone see what the truck is.

You should get a picture of all the guys at the dealership who have help you in a group hug when it's over. Just like at the end of TV series during their final episode.

Hey take it one more step and maybe we are all a figment of someone else's imagination. Nothing to do with reality at all, just the remaining tendrils of some other life forms dreams as it awakes from its slumber......

Crap time to go to work.

Today's update.

I got the truck back finally. Looks like the oil pan gasket was the culprit. I will check it when I get home Sunday. I pulled it in the garage and had to catch a ride to the airport.

Right now I am not going to say what I wanted out of ford. I wanted two big things. The lady at ford yesterday said she was going to do what I requested.
Today she called and backed out of half of it. It made me mad and I told her she is still on the border of lemon law here in nc. If that truck goes to the dealer overnight one more night then it's auto buy back. As many fords as we have, it would be in her best interest to comply with my demands and I know she can do it. She said her manager denied one so she is trying to help me and is having a meeting with another manager tomorrow. She will call me back tomorrow with the outcome.
She doesn't know it but if she says no to it then my lawyer will be calling and filing a suit tomorrow.
I will let u guys know tomorrow.
I hope when I get home Sunday, it is clear and no oil dripping

Today's update

Ford did call and said they will give me what I wanted. I am very satisfied! Ford was very fair and did a great thing. I am out of town. I got the truck back and put it in the garage. When I get home I hope there's no oil on the ground. I'll let u guys know Sunday night!

Todays update and final update so as long as it holds.

Of course Ford did call and will be doing what I want as far as consessions for this ordeal

I just got home from being out of town all weekend and glanced under the truck. No oil anywhere. I dod not go underneath on the creeper and look at it. If you see the bell housing and oil pan dry then its good. All the other times the oil pan was soaked and the bell housing was soaked.
The oil pan gasket was the culprit. Its a shame it got this crazy for a little ol gasket.
