Don't worry! Not many are replying but I'm sure they are following the saga.

Update as of Sunday.....

The dealer called me Saturday and left on my voicemail that they had got the truck in the bay and the tranny back out of it. The retainer did not have any oil on it. They think its coming from the oil pan now. They have a call into the engineer in Detroit. I REALLY REALLY wished they would of thought of this before all of this junk before. That way the transmission would of never had to come out and it could of been fixed in a day! Its Monday morning and I am sure I will hear from them today so stay tuned!

Todays update for Monday 8-15

Well they called me around lunch time. They did in fact take the oil pan off and did see a small part on a corner that got pinched.
The mechanic did say that he was 100 percent positive that this was the problem. Once again they dont have a seal "shocker" and it will be another day. It is on order from the parts depot.
Hopefully have i back tomorrow. I am not too happy about this at all though. All of this Tranny bull crap.....having to pull it out and do all this heavy work for a simple oil pan leak.
I did call Ford customer care Friday morning and have yet to hear from the agent assigned to my ordeal.
I am calling this drama story "As the Oil Drips" lol

Hang in there tollie, they'll get it
fixed up for you. We are all following the
ongoing saga. Sounds like they have found the
culprit.

Thanks for keeping us up to date...

So is it Ford trying to TS from Detroit instead of the dealership or is the dealership just stabbing at the problem? Just curious and anything can happen during assembly and shipment to the plant.

Thanks Mike! I am hangin in there like a hair in a biscuit! haha

kmonty2..............At first the dealer was probing at it. I as well told them it had to be the rear main. Since they just fixed it, I guess it didnt have 100 miles to let that oil go towards that bell housing. Going down the highway the oil was being knocked back by the wind. He cleaned it all and did all that work last week. Just running around town for 15 miles was enough for it to come back out. This time it had no highway miles so it appears it was coming from the oil pan. The truck is sitting on the lift at the ford place right now with the oil pan off waiting for that gasket in the morning. Gosh I hope this fixes it!
The mechanic did call this afternoon late and told me he did see it pinched on the corner near the tranny. He felt good because it was the first time we had found a problem. He feels this will solve the problem or sure and no damage to the truck.

If it doesnt fix it then there will be another chapter of "As the Oil Drips" for everyone to watch!

I have to kind of agree with that statement. Starting to sound more like a three ring circus.

Well today I went by the dealership for a surprise visit. The truck was in the air with the oilpan off of course. I talked with the mechanic and you could see where the pan was damaged from the stamping process and you could tell that the gasket was messed up too.

Anyways, when I was there the oil pan just arrived. They said there were only 2 in the nation and it had to be overnighted from Wyoming at critical "Truck Down."
They are going to put it back on with the new gasket. I told them to run the truck down the highway running 80 for atleast ten miles there and ten back. Get it good and hot. Back to the dealer and let her sit. Hopefully no more oil dripping. If it all works out it is being delivered to my house this afternoon. Still no call back from Ford corp. I have left a message for the agent to call me.

Tune in tomorrow for another episode of........................"As the Oil Drips!"
