i have a 78 f150 with racetrack chrome.im gonna paint the truck and not going to put the trim back on.other than being dull it has 2 or 3 little dings that can easily be fixed.my question is what is it worth if i sell it?
Where are you located? That will make the biggest differences.
Up here in Canada, I paid $80 for two full pairs of PERFECT racetrack chrome trim. They were plastic wrapped and kept in storage for over 20 years, and forgotten about. Luckily, they were never touched, nor damaged.
When it comes to pricing stuff out, it's all about location location location.
ChaseTruck here on these forums is from Southern California. He sells truck cabs, rust-free and in very good shape for $50. I just bought an almost-rust-free cab here in Canada for $750, delivered to my door... The differences are huge...
i live in kentucky.im just curious because if i dont use it or store it i dont want to see it in the scrapyard.hate seeing our beloved dents getting crushed when they could be rebuilt for less than the new junk they sell today.
hmm
could of seen it coming
idk why people like long beds they look ugly -___-
short beds is what up
Those ugly longbeds sure outsold the shortbeds by a huge margin for some reason. Maybe because for most folks, trucks are for work and the extra space is more practical. A short wheel base wouldnt make a very good 3/4 ton tow vehicle, would it? I had an uncle that never liked the way a shortbed looked, said they didnt look "in proportion", he had a farmers eye for a pickup. I like both and if I had a 2wd, I think I would prefer a longbed, specifically, a 3/4 ton.
didnt mean to start a debate on long or shortbed trucks was just curious about my trim.but since there bama your right i use mine for work and also the longer wheelbase gives a little smoother ride.i am also a volunteer firefighter so i very often haul equiptment for the depatment which wont fit in a shortbed
