Just sayin hi. I hav e been into old trucks all my life. I guess growing up on a farm in Arkansas caused it to rub off on me. I recently saved a 52 f-3 from the crusher. Its a v-8,4-speed non synchro, shows 73000, complete down to a battery and was driven to where it sat for 20 years. I had a 52 f-1 years ago,but never got the project off the ground. I have built several chevys, including the 64-c10 i have had for 27 years.my plans are to (first sell my 48 dodge, anybody interested) get it running, driveable,12-volt,disc brakes maybe, paint, then, actually USE the truck. Nothing severe, hauling lumber, pulling trailers/car dollys, then handing it down to my 10-year old son, someday. Lots of info here, already learned a lot.
Welcome to FTE! Good to hear from another F3 owner. I have a 48. This is a good group and you've come to the right spot for knowledge, info and motivation. What part of the country are you from?
Pocahontas Arkansas, Northeast corner,One side(my side) of black river is Ozark Foothills, other side is Delta. I am trying to figure out how to post photos. Any suggestions on a bolt in synchro tranny?

welcome I was looking on ebay and saw something for your 52 f-3. 5 star hood side trim. I know you said it was going to be a work truck but it would look good with some BING.
