Just thought you might be interested to know that you have become and inspiration to me. I saw a pic of you truck a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. I have wanted a 48 ford pickup since I was about 10 when my cousin had one. Finally, 20 some years later, I have found my dream. I bought a 48 F-2, and am anxiously waiting to tear her down and build her back all original. Anyway, I was just looking at your site and decided you must be my inspiration, mine will also be red. Any advice you might be willing to give me would be greatly appreciated.
WOW! Thanks for the compliment. I worked hard and spent a lot of time and a few bucks to get the truck to where it is and when someone acknowedges the work it makes worth it. You will find this out the first time you take your truck out and people stare and give you the thumbs up.
Feel free to email me off forum anytime, I love to talk Fat Fendered Ford (my wife thinks too much) .

Cory,
Welcome to the club! Please post pictures of your truck and tell us more about it and how you found it.
My story's a lot like yours. I bought my first vehicle, a 49 F3 for $20 when I was 15 yrs old, back in '75. I got it running and then managed to break the rear end. I didn't have the funds or know how to fix it so I abandoned it at a friends farm. I was heartbroken. It took me 25 years to get another one, my 50 F1. I had to pay a bit more than $20 but I'm thrilled with it. Look forward to seeing pictures and following the progress of your restoration/customization.
Dan
You are very welcome bob! Thank you Dan for the welcome! I will take some pics of the truck soon and start a gallery. I have been wanting to become a member of the club, but have yet to figure out how. I have been visiting this site for some time now and have really enjoyed it. Now I have 3 Ford trucks, '48 F-2, '67 F-100, '92 F-150 flareside. Ford is the only way to go!!!
