diesel stop guy listed walmarts supertech as a recommendation. he also states that ford hasnt approved the use of elc or coolants that can be mixed with any color of antifreezes. The supertech coolant says it can be mixed with any color coolant and it also says it is "LONG LIFE", my question is, is there a difference in long life and extended life..........? and more importantly, can I use the supertech coolant? NOTE: I have the motorcraft sca
im not mixing any of them. drained and flushed system and I allready have the sca (anti-cavitation additive) just need to know if I can use the supertech of not because its contradicting as per my first post.
Read the label on the jug of SuperTech. Pretty sure the factory recommendation says use only a low-silicate ethylene glycol-based coolant (ASTM D-4895). Ford does not recommend using propylene glycol coolants in any of their vehicles.
As long as the Supertech says it meets ASTM D-4895, you will be fine. Don't forget to add the correct amount of SCA and then check it after a few drive cycles.
