Can't figure out
I have a 2000 F 150 4x4 in mint condition with 78,000 miles. It's seems that I have noticed some kind of a very slight miss that I can feel in the gas peddle when holding at same speed. I feel it at low speeds. Took to mechanic and he said he didn't feel it, but I bought truck new and I know the feel on my truck and when something is not right. Any suggestions.
Thanx
Under certain driving conditions the air fuel ratio goes very lean.
If a coil develpes lowered output and become marginal a missfire will occurr that you would feel.
It takes higher voltage to fire lean mixtures.
Coils without the reserve will show up.
Since it's condition dependent and not a hard fault no code will be set.
Good luck.
Just went for a drive in my truck, it is 100 degrees out side, my air is on full blast and stopped at light, facing uphill. Light turned green, started up the 45 degree hill, truck went up but had no power. Had to mash gas peddle almost all the way down to get to downshift. Any ideas? Don't know if to take to shop or Transmission shop. Help!!!
Wanted you all to know that I had transmission fliud changed and the slight jerk I felt has went away, very pleased...also I seem to have noticed that truck still didn't ride right, so I ordered new KYB shocks online, installed them, and now it feels like I have a new truck. The old shocks that I took off had no compression at all..they were totally shot..so keep an eye on your shocks
