Prep, you should look into the new Harley Dyna Switchback. Its a new model for 2012. The dyna series is a more compact series than the touring models, and the new Switchback has small hard bags to make it resemble a "bagger". Local Harley shop had a 2012 ride day today. I went and rode a 2012 Road king. They've changed some things since mine was built, its a bit more cramped than mine. Stock bars are way lower also. Everything from the Dyna series up has the 103ci motor as the stock option this year which is an improvement from the 96ci of other years.
All in all, I can build a real nice 95ci big bore kit in my '05 and a sweet set of internally wired apes and be about 8g less than the 2012 would cost me if I traded up.
