I have 2k on the truck, so no, not near "broken in"... The tank is 98 liters Coming from my '08 with its 141 liter fuel tank, this is a massive difference. I can only hope the forcasted better mpg will offset the smaller tank...

Paso1/Paul installed a polished aluminum semi fuel tank in the back of his F250 which made for very few fuel stops on long trips.

That small tank would suck when towing, my truck has a 130l tank.

Yes, that's what I'm concerned about. I spoke with the dealer about swapping out for the larger one. They said it would be way too much work because of the positioning of the plastic fuel lines, length of the lines and wiring and such. They were going to check into aftermarket solutions.

I have looked into aftermarket tanks, and they make sense except...

In your case if the dealer isnt going to cover the cost, it may not be worth it. Those aftermarket tanks arent cheap, and in the end ya might just wanna spend the cost of the aftermarket tank, on fuel!

Anyone thought of a sliptank yet?

I know you don't have much room already with a 6 foot box, but a 400 litre slip tank would solve your problem.

I have a couple of slip tanks, they are handy but they do take up alot of room and are always in the way of something.

To have an extra 100 liters or so would be nice, and the box space sacrifice would be minimal. The problem with a gasoline slip tank is so many rules and regulations due to the volatility of gasoline. Not to mention I wouldn't want to take the chance on that with my family aboard in case of an accident. Any hope of survival would be toast...really...

Here are a couple pics of the truck, if the quality is poor, blame it on the cell phone. One pic of my bike also, not sure if I posted one of those yet... Enjoy.

Thanks Collin. I'm growing used to it. I still prefer the front end of the '04-'08 over this style, but getting used to it. Hopefully soon they do a throw-back style with the 92-96 front ends

I wanted to change my grille for a flat black XL grill so the truck was totally black. Cost over a grand for the XL grille. Guess I'll be keeping this one for a bit yet
