Something I've notice with everybody's intake manifold on this forum. It's so clean!!! Mine's all dirty and the aluminum coating is coming off in sheets. How can I fix this? If it requires removing the intake, how do I do that? I tried once but I was missing a bolt somewhere...

 

You forgot the infamous center bolt which is a star drive I recall. Someone had a photo of it here....

 

Torx? What size is it because I have a torx socket set.

 

Should be a T40. It is a real treat to snake a socket down to that bolt on a 1/4" drive with a long extension.

 

I have some paint that is supposed to resemble the original look. I'll see what its called.

 

To clean it, use a toothbrush and degreaser or brake kleen. Tedious but comes out mint
