Windshield Trim

I have scored a cherry set of windshield trim pieces for my dent. I am looking for any tips on installing them on mine without boogering them or my rubber up.

I do the right gasket to accept them.

The narrow plastic chrome trim or the wide metal chrome trim?

Unless your windshield already has the wide trim you'll need to change the windshield weatherstripping. No trim, narrow trim, and wide trim all take a different gasket.

Mine has the right gasket, I'm just looking for tips on installing it without screwing the gasket up

If I'm not mistaken, you use LOTS of soapy water in a spray bottle and it just pushes in place. If I'm wrong on this please someone chime in as I wouldn't want to be the one to help a fellow dent sider screw up his window trim. John
