what does it all mean?
was there anything rare on my truck or was it just the same as all others?
haha wow. Theres some stuff i didn't know! I always thought it had 4.10 gears too. I was planning to gear up later on too. That would have been an expensive mistake putting the same gears in it. guess i will have to go higher.
Also when i got it, it had a baby blue paint job from macco when my grand dad had it painted. the color beneth that was an almost white with faint signs of blue. And im having it painted ppg Dark blue bs608. so this thing has had to of been painted at least 3 times. dang!
Wyatt, If you get ahold of DMV they should be able to dig up the title history of the truck as it pertains to Oregon...I got it for mine as mine was originally sold from Marv Tonkin in Pdx...now if I could find some license plate frames I would be tickled to death...
Dunno why. You would think a vehicle ordered from Seattle woulda been assembled in San Jose, but that's not always the case.
I decoded an F100 4WD awhile back, it was ordered from Los Angeles (71), assembled in KC.
And stranger yet, I decoded an F100 that was ordered from Dallas (61) TX, it too was assembled in KC.
I guess the Dallas TX assembly plant (D) was too busy.
Did'ja know that all 1973/79 Crew Cabs, regardless of where they were sold, were assembled in Oakville, Ontario Canada (C)?
I've decoded three 1973/79's that were not CC's that were ordered from Atlanta (21), another from Pittsburgh (38)...all were assembled at the same Canadian plant.
I guess the Atlanta (A), Chicago (G), Louisville (U), Norfolk (N), Twin Cities (P) and Mahwah NJ (E) plants were too busy.
When you figure out why FoMoCo does certain things, lemme know. 35 years in the partsbiz, I never could figure out some of the dumb things FoMoCo did, like...
Replacing (updating) 10's of 1000's of part numbers EVERY YEAR!
