My fuel pressure at idle after a cold start is fluctuating from 50 down to 48 and today I even saw 46 so I will be picking up the spring upgrade after work today. After leaving my driveway the psi goes up to 50 and stays there (this has been happening since before the filter change, its the reason I changed them). Could it just be air bubbles in the hose going to the sending unit? My dealer is ripping me off for $86 but I am too paranoid to wait to get it somewhere else.

I never lose a drop of coolant (knocks on wood) so I really don't wanna pull the radiator hose to install the spring. Is it possible to do it with the upper hose in place? Also do I need to baste the fuel from the fuel bowl first?

I was able to change out my updated spring leaving the radiator hose and CAC tube in place using seperate torx wrenches. But if I were to do it again, I would pull off the radiator hose. Just replace the spring clamp with a good worm screw type of clamp and you won't have any leaks. I also removed all the fuel from the bowl when I did mine.

I would pull the hose it will just pizz ya off the whole time when you are trying to do it....

put a few rags under the bowl to catch the fuel that comes out. if you leave your cap on you will loose less.
