Of course you could be like me and roll up your own widows with a crank.

The override function in the owners manual is a procedure where if you raise the window back up within a couple of seconds after the bounce back stops part way down, you can raise the window all the way.

I know this is a old post, but figured I would give it a shot anyway. Have a 2013 fx4 with weathertech ventshades in-channel. This worked like a charm on my passenger side window. But does not seem to take on my drivers side. Any ideas? It says the window has to be fully open. After I pull the fuse the window is about half down do I use auto down to open it or the second detent and then start the initialization process ? Did you guys do it with the motor running or in the acc on position so it has power but not running ?
thanks guys

Rob

Wow, this is an oldie.... I did the fuse trick with just the key on, engine not running. It never worked for more than a few weeks at a time. I probably did this "fix" 50 times over the past few years. I'm hopeful that things work better on my 13 but your post makes me think it won't.

I see weathertech has changed the installation procedure a little bit since I put them on my 11 and they have removed the little metal clip that held them on the front of window frame. I have no idea when they did this, but you may want to check out their site to see if there's something else to try. One things for sure, their packaging is ineffective for preventing scratches in shipping. Took 3 sets to get a good one and the last one was hand wrapped with paper towels (of all things) to prevent any more damage.

Good luck and I sure hope my new set works better....
