I just replaced the driver's side window regulator with new motor and also a new master window switch. When I press down the window goes up - press up the window goes down. I've tried the switch deinitializing and initializing instructions from the ford manual without success. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

 

You're doing nothing wrong, the people that assembled the motor installed it 180 degrees off. You can exchange the motor and try again, attempt to turn the end of the motor yourself, or, you can remove the 2 wires from the electrical connector and reinstall them in the opposite locations.

 

Thanks for the reply. After ordering and receiving a second switch (from a different vendor) and having the identical problem I took your last suggestion to heart and reversed the wires on electrical connector. The window now operates perfectly including the Auto function.
