about a month ago i saw a set of 4 rims for sale in a yard. i took my tire off to see if they would fit i took the front right off and put it on the rims had 36'' super swampers on them but seemed to fit i just couldn't turn so i offered him 200 for just the rims.deal
so here it is a month later i finally pick up 33/12.5/16.5 tires for the rims as thats the size
i take off the back drivers tire and try to put them on the bolt pattern is perfect but their is a small gap around the inside rim which gives it play.so it doesnt fit like the stock rim does. so i put the lugs on and did the top bottom left right just the 4 and tightened them accordingly.just doesnt seem to look right is their maybe some kind of insert that fits on the rear like a center cap or is their another make that has the same bolt pattern but i bit of a bigger axle?
i have $400's tied up in these rims and tires and if im to make an add on craigslist i need to know what they do fit on and once again search for nice rims that the junkman doesnt get
I question whether the wheels really need to be supported on the hub or not. Not knowing what brand the wheels are, is it possible that those wheels should have had an extra piece which covers the hub, that you are missing, and that they would have fit between, behind the wheel? Many car wheels were not supported by the hub, but by the studs. I wish that I could offer a real solution, but all I have is this "thinking and questioning". Got pictures?
