Rim issue

I have a 96' f250 and I just bought 4 rims and tires. The rims are off of a 2003 and won't fit on my truck. The rims are 16.5 inches and I don't believe they make those tires anymore. I want the tires but they don't fit on my 16 inch rims. Any kit that will switch my lug pattern over or something?

I could be wrong but I'm quite sure 03 F250/350 had 16 inch wheels. What size and load rating is stamped on the tires?

Tue rim size ain't the big problem. It's the lug pattern. And I just need the tires. The rimes the tires came on are 16.5 inches and Rey don't make those no more.

Sorry for the lack of spelling. I'm discreetly using my iPhone in my college class.

the wheels you have use a bolt pattern of 8x170mm ? or some thing close to that ! the wheels on your truck use the old standard 8x6.5" and the 2 wont switch ! the only kit that ford makes is a newer truck ! i do believe that 16.5 tires can still be gotten but are getting rarer by the day !

16.5? Off a 2003? No way, unless they are aftermarket wheels (and I highly still doubt they are 16.5) the bolt patterns wrong. 8x6.5 is what the old 8 lug trucks used, 8x170 is what the new trucks use-slightly smaller than 8x6.5. No truck since IDK like the early 80's used the 16.5 wheels stock, and very few companies made wheels in that size.

170mm is 6.69 inches. the bolt pattern is too big for yours...stupid ford...dont know how many cool wheels i could have gotten from newer trucks if only they'd fit.

those would be some lame aftermarket rims if they are in fact 16.5. "cool rims! where do you get tires?" "i have to buy used from craigslist. but hey! at least 2 of them match!"

Rims are weld racing rims and are aftermarket rims. They did come off an 03. And I know they won't fit on my truck.

Sorry man, wasnt trying to be rude-just amazes me they still make those things-16.5 rims and tires went outta style YEARS ago. Wonder if the guy drilled out the holes (ive seen it before) to make them fit.

No clue. I'm getting some rims off of a 78' ford that are 16.5 but they are steel and look like crap. They look like your typical spare.

Gonna have a hell of a time finding the proper tires man, hardly anyone makes a 16.5 tire anymore.

Oh plenty of 16.5 tires out there, as well as all the other .5 sizes, 17.5 used to be a little tricky to find.

Might want to try and trade those wheels to someone who wants some big tires on a newer pickup.

Really? I always scour the net for reviews for the best tires when I go to buy new-very few tires I ever looked at (probably dozens by now) ever came in that size. Almost everything I see these days is P metric 16's, 17's, 18's etc or LT 17, 17, 18, etc. Hardly any 15" tires too.

I mean unless your driving a medium duty or larger truck, then finding tires is cake.

Ah, yes right, The big mfg's are scarce on 16.5 except for Goodyear, the Wrangler and a few others are made for 16.5, oem size on the HMMWV. Brands like multi-mile and a few others make some beefy meats for that size.
