97 ford f-250 crew cab 4x4 7.3 turbo diesel

So I'm once again in the market for a newer truck. I came to this one Cars for Sale: 1997 Ford F250 in CALDWELL, NJ 07006: Truck Details - 302189546 - AutoTrader.com

Looks like a good deal might call this fella up. What you guys think?

Not a bad deal. I paid 5 for mine a couple years ago when diesel was cheaper than gas. It was just as clean till good old salt got to it during the winter. I would buy it. Does it have manual tcase or push button auto locking hubs or manual?

I was thinking the same thing but the market for our trucks dropped!! The price of fuel is ridiculous. At that price even if the tranny is bad I would but it

Yeah, I'd be careful though. When I was looking for a truck i checked autotrader a fair amount and almost every truck I was interested in turned out to be a scam. They don't always sound like scams at first either, but they usually are. One of them was a lady who said she recently got divorced and the truck was her husbands and the court had awarded it to her and she has no need for a truck etc... sounded like a decent story until I got the same exact email for a few other trucks I was looking at too. Not saying it's for sure a scam, just be careful...

back in 97 I paid $3000 for mine with 200000+ miles, and it was in kind of rough condition. If that is for real, better ****** that up quick before I do. Go look at it and drive it, you can't be that far from there, Jersey isn't that big of state.

Check my rig.. Got it 2 months ago for 7500... 160k miles. That was before the lift kit and grill guard. Already had the exhaust/tires. ^_^

4 grand for a CCSB 4x4 with only 109k miles? I smell a scam, especially considering the lack of any good info in the ad.

Yeap you have to be VERY careful, but the truck itself looks fine (its what Im lookin for 4x4 CC short bed) and a very good price.

X2 on that, but with the picS it looks STOCK, so thats good. Has good things and bad questions . Remember: "to good to be real", but maybe because of the priced diesel and the region, its normal now to find that kind of deals? IDK.

power mirrors, huh. Did these come with power mirrors as an option? Could be an after thought.
