Bought an 05 Excursion!
Have to admit its a very nice vehicle and this is coming from a pretty die hard chevy fan. Well done Ford! Only questions I have is who has some hard facts on getting a few more mpg and waking up that V-10. IE: Air box eliminator, chip, exhaust, etc.. Let me know what you have done and what it gave you roughly in the HP and or Econ. I really dont expect much in the econ dept but if I could pick up a few mpg and a few more hp in the process I would love it.

Welcome aboard!
Improve air flow... in and out, and you'll do a little better in the HP and MPG's. Engines are basically air pumps, so improving one or both will help.

Congrats! For MPG you can run your tires at max pressure and your right foot at minimum pressure. Beyond that, there isn't much difference to be made.
For HP you should check into a 5Star tuner from Mikes.

Its 05 one step below limited I believe (XLT?) Red/Grey, 4 inch lift (I believe) 285/75/16 ATS (soon to be 325s), eagle alloy's, fully loaded, tan leather, power everyhting, fold down dvd, black windows all the way around. I dont see an ability to post pics or I would. If anyone wants to give me some pointers on how to do so I will.

Congrats! Go to the "user CP" ink at the top of the forums, create a photo gallery, then after uploading the photos, click on them to get the "BB" link that you can paste into your messages. That is how I have been doing it...anyone else have shortcuts?

wpnaes I am aware that the bigger tires will drink more fuel and I am truly not overly concerned about the mpg op was just out of curiosity as to what other folks have done to conserve a little bit. Thanks for the welcomes!

That is a nice X in a nice color. I think you have a 6" lift on there. How long before you get the bigger tires?
