slopy shift lever

Hello all, can the shift lever be adjusted on the trucks with the e4od, mine has a lot of slop in it and it is hard to get it in gear. 1995 f 250 5.8 Thanks Jeffrodc

you need to rebuild the shift tube in the steering column

The screws near the bottom of the column are also well known to loosen over time. Look for some Torx headed bolts.

problem solved

Well, I checked the screws, and that was the problem. Thanks for the tip, saved me a lot of time, now I know what to look for, this is why I like this site! Thanks Jeffrodc
