E350 engine

I have an extended 15 passenger 1990 E350 with 76k miles which I can't seem to sell. Body not seriously damaged but not pretty. It has various dings and one mirror broken off. Inside looks scruffy.

So I am considering parting it out.

Engine vin code H.

Looking at several sites listing Ford engine codes, they do not seem to be completely cinsistent, which is the reason for this message.

As best I can determine, my engine is variously listed as a Windsor, a 351, a 5.8 liter.

Is this correct ?

Thanks

Lowell

Sounds like you have a 351 Windsor. 351 AKA 5.8L.

I did not ask the question very clearly.

I found conflicting info for engine vin code H. One listing said it is a Triton.

I believe it is a Windsor - but how can I tell for sure ?

Also, how do I determine which tranny it has ?

Trans code is on the door post sticker. Google "Ford Transmission code _"

Tritons AKA Modulars came out in 1997. Ford likely recycled the letter code and what you find on the net is the most recent usage. To complicate things, Modulars were built in Triton MI and Windsor ON.

There is no such place as Triton, MI.

Modulars were built in Romeo, MI, and Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
