[quote=bigdaddys76;10454860]Josh, your words about the hoses weeping haunted me the whole way home. I was able to have the smaller diameter hose spliced/repaired at a reputable hose shop cause they were not able to duplicate it cause of the sight glass end. I say all that in asking what/ where that sight glass fitting can be found and is it needed since that was the way you used to see the bubbles as it was being charged.
you can cut the old fittings off and pull them from the hoses and have some one make a hose using the old fittings !
cj06 if it was that easy it would have been done by now!
That would work on all but the one hose end on the high side at the drier connection, go out and look at yours and you'll see what i'm saying.
Even the guys at the hydraulic hose shop new guys and old veterans were like ummmm not gonna be able to touch that one end.
Anyhow its all together tonite and gonna charge her up 2morrow.
Yes I am using a new origonal style drier so that is why the sight glass is in the line itself and that was the way they use to charge em but now days my machine does it all with the newer vehicles but this will be the first attempt at something older than say mid 90's
some people dont know that old fittings can be reused and some places wont reuse them , just through that idea out there ! none of my trucks has AC on them and i live in AZ suppose to be 108* tomorrow , wife thinks im dumb for not having AC ! well glad you got it fixed !
