Could someone who has the camper package tell me where the 7-pin female connector is located? By mistake I ordered my truck without the camper package and have recently bought a 10' 11'' Lance camper. The RV dealer wants to put the plug inside the box and tie into the truck wiring on the frame with scotch-lock connectors. I want it mounted at the back bumper right beside the factory plug that I use for my horse trailer...appreciate any advice on the right way to do this installation.
Just get the plug and harness from Ford for less than $50! It plugs right into 2 plugs along the frame on the truck harness. Ford locates the plug in the bed, driver's side about 10" from the rear of the truck and 10-12" off the floor. You just need to cut the hole for it.

You talking about the 5th wheel harness? This one?

The camper package did not have specific wiring associated with it...or at least that is my understanding and the above information from Ford's spec sheet seems to supports that information. I have the Camper Package and my external connecter wiring plugs, 7-pin/4-pin, are located in the standard, just to the left of the hitch below the bumper location.
If you are referring to the 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer Tow Prep Package, when I was looking at dealer stock trucks, that special connector was on the back driver's side inside wall of the bed. I believe a secondary connecter, 7-pin/4-pin, was in the standard bumper/hitch location too.

I thought those 2 plugs were for the backup camera. I have the same thing and was told I could plug my own camera right into it and use the monitor in the mirror if I got one.

Negative on the backup camera. Those 2 plugs pictured are the ones that the in bed RV plug harness plugs into. What you see in the picture are dummy plugs that get removed and the RV harness has 2 plugs that attach right there.
I'm not sure about the "camper package", but I know the in bed plug comes with the 5th wheel prep package. At any rate it is very economically purchased from a dealer parts counter (even at list price) and very easily installed.
I bought a $50 cable set up that you unplug the cable from the back of the plug under bumper. Plug one end of the cable into the back of the OEM plug and the other into the cable you unplug. Drill a 2 1/8" hole where you want it in the bed and mount the plug, 30 min job.....
