Camper pkg wire harness

I have the camper package on my truck and I assume there is going to be a bundle of wires hidden somewhere that can be run into the box for plugging in your 5th wheel or do they expect you to plug it in by the hitch at the bumper?

If you don't have the plug in the bed, there are no wires bundled underneath. You need to buy the plug/wiring kit from Ford. There are others available but at approximately the same price, I prefer the factory Ford kit. It should be in the $55 range.

You may want to look underneath before you buy a plug and play kit. Some trucks did not come from the factory with the plugs in place for this kit. If you look under the truck along where the receiver hitch mounts to the left frame rail there should be 2 plugs attached to the frame. They are where the kit plugs into.

The factory location for the plug is on the left side of the bed approximately 12" from the rear pillar and about 12" off the floor. You have to cut a hole for the plug.
