My 86 f-150 transmission with the aod tranny 'locks-up' the overdrive , even at low speeds (35-40 mph) Is this very unusal; maybe a computer issue? Thanks
A transmission with a Lock Up Torque Converter basically locks the impeller & turbine in the converter while in high gear or overdrive. This helps reduce heat and makes the converter a direct drive coupler, preventing any slip or shudder at highway speeds.
Daveg52,
It sounds to me like your TV cable is out of adjustment.
