ok i have a '04 f250 6.0L PSD it lacks power and pisses alot of coolant out of the degas tank. the first thing i thought of was the egr cooler. i pulled the egr valve and it wasn't clogged up nor did it looked like it had been steam cleaned. it only had a light coat of soft dry soot on it. i started taking the top end apart and when i got to the turbo it was nice and shiny like new and i have 180k miles on this truck im thinking it shouldnt look like that am I correct in this assumption?
The 6oh's are tricky. Aftermarket gauges really help when you truck starts getting higher miles. Casting sand and silicate drop usually start to clog the oil cooler causing less coolant flow which can rupture an egr cooler.
There should only be 15 degree separation in the ECT/EOT, anything more is a sign of a clogged oil cooler most often. If you have a shop you trust, I would take it into them and check it out.
Not enough dough for the shop everything IV seen here point to the egr and oil coolers so that's the route I'm headed just praying its not a head gasket

Is your EGR cooler round or square? A round cooler would indicate an 03 motor and an almost bulletproof cooler. Did you have it code scanned as it can have stored codes and no CEL. If you've already disconnected the batteries the codes are gone.
