I don't think anyone has to remind me why I really dislike Powerstrokes! This Damned 6.0h-no is down again This is the one that was bought non-running and I got it going with a FICM power supply replacement, well now it has developed a sever miss and wouldn't pull a sick ***** off of the ****-pot A poor-boy check to see what cylinder is not firing turns out to be the front left cylinder, would have to be the left side where you gotta remove half of the engine bay just to get to the valve cover Taking it to a fellow this evening to check codes, but without a check engine light on, I really don't know if that will help.
Maybe someone will steal it.. Hey I'm just saying.. I've heard it happens

How many miles are on this thing?
Joe, I don't think we could be that lucky I think when they saw it was a 6.0h-no, they would run for something they could get away in
The truck only has 160K on it, but the local dealer said that the 6.0 was probably near it's useful life at that mileage My ol IDI has over 208K on it and I wouldn't be afraid to take off for points unknown tomorrow, but this thing I wouldn't trust around the block
It has a 200 gallon diesel tank on the back, wonder if the insurance adjuster would notice that the back window was busted and the hose was laying in the seat when it burned?
Afternoon gentlemen. This afternoon...been sitting on a black locomotive with no steady breeze, fan or a/c for a couple of hours. I'm not complaining...just stating the fact that I was a little annoyed when my boss calls to ask if we're staying cool. When I explain to him...barely since we don't have cab fans, he says "that's all that is important, staying cool in this heat."

There you go hating a perfectly good engine again. I'm sure you know this, but just in case. Just because there's no CEL doesn't mean there aren't stored codes on the PCM. Last summer mine never through a CEL until after the engine would die. As if I didn't know I needed to check the engine For grins & giggles, I'd hook it up to a code reader (I've got an AE at the house now if you want to borrow it) just to see what it is. I've heard of a couple of guys breaking the bolt that holds the solenoid on top of the injector. No one really knows why they're breaking...but they develop a dead miss as soon as it happens. I just happened to look to see what's the latest & greatest 6.0L forum. I see Tim has already posted pretty much what I said, he' pretty good...so hopefully y'all finger out what's slowing that truck down.

I've heard the same thing...I think it's just a wild rumor if you ask me.

He might, he might not if he's one of those bowtie bone heads. You could always loosen the banjo bolts, the fuel supply line on the side of the 2nd fuel filter and the supply oil line of the turbo. Between those four sources I'm sure it would burn a hot fire and cover up most of the evidence.
Can't beleive I just said that about both a Ford & 6.0L
Andy: How much is all your paint gonna run you, ball park?
There is a votech fairly close by that does autobody work for cost of paint ect... Thinking about having the SC painted blue and the 250 painted White (it's original color).
The paint in the picture cost me $140. The only problem with using this paint is that regular auto paint will not stick to it if you were to ever paint it again, you would have to use the same paint or strip it all the way down. If you are interested I can send you a link for another website that sells auto paint for a little more money.

It is actually Ford Red. I am hoping it comes out good. We will see in a month.

Dang it, that's twice in a week I've assumed something...and got it wrong. When I seen implement red as the color description I assumed Massey. Slip of the brain that there was Ford 8N that were painted red at one time. You'd think I would have remembered that since I learned to drive on a 8N actually...that could explain a couple of things about my driving too.

It happens to us all from time to time. More times than not with me...according to the wife! lol Most people go for either the International Harvester or Massey red, I wanted something just a little different.
I'm gonna hide and watch for right now. Got several folks interested in my SC as is... may not sell it at all... I'm far too poor to have as many projects and hobbies as I do
Hey Jeff...I found the problem with that F550 you love so much....
Just replace the o-ring and she'll be good to go another 100k miles.
I wish that was so, replaced the injector on the dead hole today, no change in the way it runs Sounds to me it needs to be overheated slightly, like totally crispy
Morning gentlemen...you too Jeff, you know you love electronic engines. Think of all the fun you could have with a VW TDI. Got a call from the body shop yesterday...the truck is finally ready. I get to pick-up the Princess on Monday.

I know exactly what you mean about what our wives think. The red should look good on the truck.

You can't take the $$$ money with you when you go...so you mind as well spend it while your here. Or at least that's what I keep telling me wife. Even if you do sell the truck, that doesn't mean you have to leave the forum....we'd be glad to have you stick around. Well unless you buy a Toyota as a replacement.

There you go hating a perfectly good engine again. If it's the #1 or #2 (forget which side you said it was on) it isn't fuel. And since you just replaced the stick and it still isn't "felling well". I wonder if you've got a chaffed wire or a pin that isn't making contact somewhere?
