I ordered my t500 today and read where i need to pull the fuel bowl so i figured i would rebiuld the housing with all new orings since i cant find the leak, also i have a new fuel pump that i figured i would put in just because i have one. any write ups on the fuel pump removal/install. Thanks
Most important thing I can think of to say is that when you unbolt the old pump, rotate the motor by hand and watch and make sure the pump rises up off the block. This will put the cam lobe as high as possible and prevent the tappet from falling in the motor.
Also, be careful if you have to pry the old pump off, sometimes they break off in the engine block.
Otherwise it's not too bad of a job.
Good luck.
