I have been checking various things since I got my IP and new injectors in place. even with the injectors torked to spec i have several that if you put some fluid around and crank the engine it will cause bubbles. I can only guess that is keeping the engine from proper pressure to get it started. though I still suspect my glowplug system as part of the problem to.
Has any one ever tested their injectors to see if they all get a 100% seal?
Did you replace all the copper seals...........you had to remove the old ones first. Any carbon in the heads should be removed.
Torque is 35ftlbs and you go around the pattern twice.....
One thing to remember the copper seal, seals in engine combustion at the injector tip. The threads on the barrel do not seal anything so if your getting a small amount of air expansion in the head where the injector sits...it may show up at those threads.
Steel injector line torque is 22ftlbs (ensure they are lined correctly before tightening).
totally spaced that I will have to check the bottoms again. ug. any suggestions on how to clean it out. they were all new injectors going back in. I didnt know if the previous owner changed them out when he got a replacement engine so i figured do both.
