I compared the Pollak valve, NAPA #2-2198, same unit on Pollak web site, and they don't match up. The wiring doesn't bother me but the push on Ford ends will have to be cut off and rubber installed and clamped. Am I missing something ? Thanks
When I spoke with Ford parts man 2 weeks ago he led me to believe the Ford part was for gas and diesel. The $325. that stopped me cold, stopped me cold.
I did find on amazon.com 6c3z9189a Ford Pollak for $275. another site had it for $375. The NAPA part is $105., but not the same configuration. What sort of trouble would I get into if I cut the nylon line , could I slide a piece of rubber line over the nylon and clamp it? All help is appreciated.
The Pollak NAPA valve sure looks like a different line attchment than what I have which is the same as the one on amazon.com 6c3z9189a, I would give a link but I am not that computer literate. The ends on the NAPA valve are not elongated like 6c3z9189a they are more like a hose barb. Yes my fittings push on and have the hair clip.
Sudford, I want to thank you for your help on this matter.

Reason: content
I looked at both of the threads, did a silverstateford and partsguyed and they wanted $226 or $231. both better than my local ford dealer. However being on SS Disability I count my ($$) 10 or 15 times before I spend them. The NAPA $105 + $10 for the pigtail is affordable. Cutting the lines and adding rubber line is not a big deal, or is that famous last words. Would a 3" overlap onto the nylon line be good or do I need more? I am also considering moving the valve about a foot closer to the engine to make it more accessable. What do ya'll think? Thanks
