Besides the obvious ways they pump fuel, what is the difference between the diaphragm and turbine fuel pumps. Call me stupid but I really havent fooled around a lot with electric fuel pumps.

a diaphragm pump will pass fuel through it when not in use. a vane or turbine pump must be powered to pass fuel. no power, little or no fuel will pas through it.
