Vent windows or not

I would never get rid of vent windows in any of the trucks or cars I own. They are just too darn practical; something most modern vehicle designers dont realize. Of course they add to the vehicle cost
The cowl vent was frozen shut when I got the 54; that was fixed real quick with PB Blster.

Well mac's antique auto parts has the handle, handle bracket, and seals, but no-one has the frame that I know of, and I want a stainless frame to match my other stainless frame! Guess I'll have to watch ebay a while.

I kind of wish my '41 had them stock too. Darn.

Clayton

PS. The cowl vent is hillarious, every one of my friends call it a hood scoop. Don't know what they think that its for.

Ahh, you got that right. My closest friend and I make fun of the amzing numbers of "hood humps" (as I like to call them) and he always tells me "Hey man, bust open your hood scoop." I just laugh at him and pop open the vent. The worst part is when people make fun of the size of my "hood scoop".

Vent windows are a 'gottahave' - how do you guys without wing windows keep the bugs off your back wall?

Same goes for the cowl vent - mine was screwed shut when I got my truck, but it is now functional. Talk about a blast of air! Hood scoop? Now that's one of the funniest descriptions I've heard.

You can buy new divider bars (stainless), track and new felt wipers separately or in a complete kit from Sacramento Vintage Ford. F1 thru F6 share the same cab, so go with the F1 setup. About $100 but well worth it.
