I did finally put these locks on. I had to replace the rubber included with rubber from one of my kids arm bands. (I find those all over the house and so far nobody even noticed it’s missing. ). It does fit but I can’t say it looks awesome. I might go looking for a black one, or maybe even use some black Plasti-Dip.
I also see what others mentioned it does distort the window seal. So far I have not heard any increased wind noise.
Dang, I wish I'd known about these a week ago. The driver side latch broke off on our '95, the post itself so buying a new latch wouldn't do any good. I ended up getting a whole window from an online boneyard. Now I realize this gizmo would've fixed it for less money and less work out in the cold. Well I might still get a set just for the added security.
Those neoprene wrist bands seem WAY too thick for this, I'm surprised they work. One option for anyone concerned about the overall thickness (maybe some years of truck had thicker glass?), a piece of old bike tire innertube might be just rignt.
Guys always asked me when I had my 70 Challenger convertible. “Aren’t you going to lock the doors?” I said, “Why? Nothing to steal other than the car and if they really want in all they have to do is stick a knife thru the top! If they want the factory AM 8 track radio that bad....just let them get in and take it!”
Oh man, I'll bet you wish you had that car back. Convertible, factory tape? People today would love those options, and that car would command a pretty huge premium for being a drop-top. Chrysler just didn't make as many convertible Barracudas and Challengers as Ford and GM did with the Mustang/Cougar and Camaro/Firebird.
I like seeing the old vent windows which were controlled by a crank.

Yeah....I wouldn’t mind having it back. It was a 340, 4spd car with 3.55 gears. Factory plum crazy purple and a white top.
Yeah the old crank vent windows where pretty cool and my pick over the push/lever lock handle set up. Either way....I like the vent side windows.
