OK, so I have completed research on my problem with little to no success. When starting my truck I get the nice (annoying) chime that feels like which I would like to stop.
Thanks Pam. I have scoured the damn thing through and through...nada that I can find. I am male though, and if it dont fall into my outstretched hands...lol
I looked all through it last night yoi and couldn't find anything, so I must have been mistaken about that. I could have sworn I read something about that though, just can't remember where. Sorry!
I keep hearing all the complaints about chimes and backup alarms. They are all there for a reason and I don't mind any of them. Chimes when door open and the keys are in the ignition, close the door or take the keys out. People would bitch more if they locked the keys in the truck. Backup alarms when hooking the trailer up, turn it off and it will stay off till you turn the ignition off. People would bitch more if they backed into something. I would like sensors in the front of my truck in indicate when I'm getting close. The chime when starting the truck, get over it.....
I'm not sure which chime you talk about but the seatbelt minded can be turned off, it is explained in the manual. The key in ignition chime can be disabled, you have to cut a wire, instructions are in the Tech Folder here.
