08 F350 when i hit the break pedal the trailer breaks will not work, if i hit the built in factory trailer box the trailer breaks work. can somebody please help me
Remember with the factory TBC the trailer is completely integrated into the abs system.
There really should not be any jerking going on.
What you can do is get someone to step on the brakes. Then you go out to each wheel of the trailer. You should be able to hear a buzzing at the wheel, confirming that there is power going to the magnets.
Well we have jacked the side of the trailer up and then hit the break pedal and still nuthin we jumped the box to the actual break pedal and they work but with no weight in trailer the trailer breaks locks up
I would probably see what it would cost to put on the computer or maybe you have warranty left. TBC itself is easy to replace but I would check it first.
So no warnings? When hooked up does it show that a trailer is connected?
If you have warranty left on the bumper to bumper I'd take it in and have them diagnose and repair. May need to have a trailer hooked up for the SA to see.
